NAIOP SoCal’s Young Professional Group (YPG) is the premier program for the future leaders of the Southern California commercial real estate industry. Each year a select group of 35 real estate professionals under the age of 35 take part in the 12-month, 70-hour course designed to develop personal and professional leadership skills. In 2023, the program celebrates the 18th year and YPG Alumni now total 500+ real estate professionals.

Leadership Training: Business leaders and professors from highly acclaimed Graduate Business Schools train in areas of strategy, communication, decision-making, public speaking, personal integrity, influence, and team facilitation.

Education Sessions: Commercial real estate disciplines are presented by industry leaders at each monthly session to provide the class with unique perspectives through mentorship and experience sharing.

Community Outreach: Focused community outreach opportunities are provided as a third pillar to the program to connect the needs of our local communities to future leaders and instill the importance of giving back.

Personal Growth: The real estate business is a people business and the YPG program provides a safe environment whereby young leaders can push and test their leadership and communication styles while receiving real time feedback.
