Mentorship
NAIOP SoCal’s annual Mentorship Program connects emerging commercial real estate professionals with seasoned industry leaders to cultivate meaningful relationships that inspire both personal and professional growth. Through guided interaction, real-world insights, and shared experience, participants gain perspective, expand their network, and develop the skills needed to excel in Southern California’s CRE community.
Program Commitment:
-
One mentor-mentee meeting per month (self-scheduled)
- Three in-person networking events with industry leaders and fellow program participants
Mentees
The NAIOP SoCal Mentorship Program empowers Developing Leaders (under 35) to accelerate their professional growth and prepare for future leadership roles in commercial real estate. Participants are thoughtfully selected for their high achievement, ambition, and commitment to advancing their careers.
Mentees gain direct access to experienced industry leaders and are encouraged to build a meaningful relationship with their mentor that extends beyond the structure of the program. The experience is grounded in trust, respect, professionalism, and confidentiality, creating a safe and supportive environment for growth, guidance, and candid insights.
Mentee Participation Fee: $250
(Includes program materials, food & beverage, and access to exclusive mentorship events throughout the year.)
Mentors
NAIOP SoCal Mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of commercial real estate leaders. The program is designed for mentors to share real-world experience, offer candid career and life guidance, serve as a sounding board for professional and personal challenges, and provide mentees exposure to people, opportunities, and insights they may not otherwise encounter early in their careers.
Our mentors represent a cross-section of respected industry leaders who generously volunteer their time and expertise. To date, the program has proudly included numerous senior executives and over NAIOP SoCal Board Members, each dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and supporting the continued success of the Developing Leaders community.
Mentorship Program Application now open for 2026! Deadline: December 31, 2025
