Dear NAIOP SoCal Members:
I am sure that you have received today, as I have, a number of messages from organizations, stores, businesses and colleagues advising you of the steps being taken to address the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of the latest recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, I wanted to let you know that after much consideration and evaluation of our alternatives, NAIOP SoCal leadership has made the difficult decision to postpone all of our currently scheduled in-person events and meetings through March 31. Committee meetings will be also be held via conference calls now through March 31. We will reevaluate where things stand at that time and decide upon our next steps.
We place the health and well-being of our members, the industry and the communities where we live and work at the forefront of all we do. As we learn more and see how things develop, we may reschedule or modify events and will explore other avenues for delivering much-needed information. As we learn more and confirm actions, we will notify our membership. Stay tuned for our upcoming webinar/conference call program which we are developing to cover “Best Practices for Commercial Landlords in Dealing with COVID-19.”
I remain optimistic that this very difficult situation will be resolved, and we will all emerge stronger and more resilient. The chapter will post additional information to its website at naiopsocal.org and on our social media platforms, including Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram. We also encourage you to contact our chapter office or me at email@example.com if you have any questions or suggestions. I would love to hear from you.
