Night at the Fights 2019 Thrills Sold-Out Crowd

Night at the Fights 2020 set for May 14

Night at the Fights 2019 proved to once again be the premier Southern California commercial real estate event as almost 1,000 commercial real estate professionals came out on May 9 to watch two professional MMA bouts and two Real Estate Rumble boxing matches.

Sold out again, the event, held at the Hotel Irvine, was an entertaining evening inspired by a circus theme that came to life with acrobats, contortionists, fortune teller, magician, stilt walker and aerialists who all thrilled and awed the attendees during the Warm Up networking portion of the event and in the grand ballroom for the main event.

This year’s event featured two Real Estate Rumble boxing matches with Stephen Madigan, Kidder Mathews vs. Jerry Fink, The Bascom Group, LLC and Nima Namdar, Howard Building Corp. vs.  Jonathan Giannola, Marcus & Millichap. The brave participants kept the crowd on their feet to see who would win. The evening’s champions included Madigan and Namdar.

Madigan shared, “I enjoyed all the training and learning during the lead-up to the event.  I was treated like a boxing professional by NAIOP and my trainers.”  Giannola added from his experience, “There’s nothing like a right hook to the jaw at 7:30 in the morning to get you ready for the day.” The Night at the Fights committee is already taking inquiries for 2020’s Real Estate Rumble contenders.

Along with the sports entertainment, the event featured a $10,000 check presentation to the Building Block Foundation Fund, a non-profit that combines financial and human resources from the real estate community to support programs to help these disadvantaged children in Orange County.

After the main event and dinner, guests enjoyed the Round 2 post event After Party that included lots of networking, casino games, circus performers, cocktails and premium cigars.

“There is nothing like Night at the Fights. Each year we work to provide entertainment value for everyone – even if you aren’t a boxing fan. From the competitions in the ring to the theme and after-party fun, it’s no wonder that this event sells out each year. I’m looking forward to next year’s event, set for May 14, 2020, with even more surprises in store,” said Ryan Gallagher, managing partner, co-founder, Space Investment Partners, and Night at the Fights Chair.
