This program will highlight how the auction markets operate, the dynamics of why auctions are effective, the roles of sellers, buyers, and brokers in the auction process. The program will also look at deal timelines, the global reach of online auctions, how they work and the difference between auctions and short sales.
Richard has more than three decades of experience in the commercial real estate and mortgage industry. Richard began his career at Paine Webber as a financial consultant, later joined Drexel Burnham’s Institutional Group where he specialized in trading FNMA, GNMA and Freddie Mac mortgage-backed securities. In the early 1990’s, Richard was CEO of Wedge Realty Advisors, where he acquired performing loans and REO properties on behalf of institutional investors. Later, he joined Smith Barney’s Commercial Real Estate Group in New York City and was responsible for originating commercial real estate loans nationwide. More recently, Richard was Director of Loan Production at Commercial Capital Bank in Irvine, California and the CEO of T Street Capital Group. He is a California real estate broker and native of Orange County.
